AETMIS - The Agency’s Board of Members
The Agency Board is made up of a maximum of 15 independent members appointed by order (No. 855-2000) by the Quebec government, on the basis of their expertise in a field related to health assessment.
The scope of perspectives the members bring to the Agency and their commitment to the scientific validity of its efforts play an essential role in the quality of its assessments. They have a three-year mandate, with the possibility of renewal, and meet five times a year.
Main responsibilities of the Board of Members
- To define the framework for the Agency’s activities and determine the assessment approaches to apply within the scope of its work.
- To render an opinion with regard to content, i.e. guarantee the scientific validity, relevance and quality of the work, and ratify the final content of the assessment reports.
- To publicize the assessment results, including by supporting the dissemination strategies for reports and other documents, and by ensuring the use of assessment information by decision-makers and other healthcare stakeholders.
