Documentation
The Agency's documentation centre contains a collection of publications, reports and periodicals that deal mainly on the assessment of health technologies and modes of intervention around the world.
All Agency reports are archived, as are most of the document on which they are based. A computerized catalogue allows for on-site consultations. The Agency offers documentation services to its researchers and staff members, Québec university hospitals and other libraries, in accordance with loan agreements between libraries. Mission- Contribute to the achievement of AETMIS’s mission, especially in its role of offering timely decision-making support.
- Contribute to the quality of AETMIS’s scientific productions, to its development and to its promotion in the national and international arenas.
- Gather, process and share information on health technology assessment and care delivery methods.
- Identify relevant information (Web sites, articles, books, grey literature, etc.) using sophisticated means, both for specific projects and on an ongoing basis (intelligence gathering).
- Provide access to literature in every format, onsite (by purchase or subscription) or by e-channels.
- Train AETMIS personnel in basic information retrieval and documentation management. Clientele- AETMIS researchers and contract workers;
- Other staff members (publishing, management, etc.);
- Québec university medical centres and other libraries, in accordance with inter-library loan agreements. Services- Document retrieval in health-specialized bibliographic databases and grey literature;
- Literature watch, Techno-Nouveau, new study alerts, etc.;
- Supplying articles and other documents;
- Books, reports and journals focusing on the worldwide assessment of healthcare technologies and delivery methods. Techno NouveauLiterature watch newsletter on health technology assessment and systematic review methodology.
