The Agency relies on the expertise of some 40 permanent researchers as well as research consultants to carry its research projects. All are well-known, seasoned specialists in their respective fields and have the broad range of expertise necessary for proper health assessment. This versatility allows the Agency to form customized teams for each study topic and to respond in a timely manner to the assessment requests it receives.

The Agency systematically calls on external specialists in order to delve further into certain aspects of the study topics and to obtain informed commentary on its projects.

Fields of expertise of AETMIS researchers and consultants: Health administration, bioethics, clinical biology, law (Biotechnologies), health economics, epidemiology, evaluation of health programs, genomics, immunology, medicine, nursing, pediatrics, pharmacy, public health.
